520			_aThis project is a question- answering systems for biographies using name entity extraction. Biographies in the MS Word, Open Office documents, PDF and text files serves as an input to the system. This paper discussed how to extract name entities using automata theory particularly deterministic machines. This system as also implemented using Java Programming Language. Name entity is a term used for proper nouns, classifies as person, location, organization, dates, and monetary. Name entity extraction is a subtask of Information Retrieval. Extracting a name entity opens a way to easier classify a person or organization and quick information retrieval. For further enhancement, it s advised that this project would serve as a research that would contribute in many natural language processing subtasks most probably in information retrieval.
