Instructor: Ms. Juliet Castañares-Ricafort-Adviser Online movie ticketing reservation is developing not in other countries but also in the Philippines. It is a system that allows the customer- either an Internet user or a walk- in customer- to reserve a seat in the Cinema based on the showing time being selected. The reservation is on a daily basis, which allows the customer to choose the screening time and fill up the reservation form using the prepared card. It allows non-prepaid cardholders to view the availability of seat of the Cinema per scheduled show time. Futhermore, the system allows the user to choose the cinema where he wants to make the reservation. First, the internet user is required to input the correct prepaid card number and PIN. Net, he fills up the reservation form, leaving no blank or textbox empty. He then submits the reservation form by clicking the SUBMIT button. Once online submission of the reservation form is successful, a summary of the user?s reservation appears on the screen. Otherwise, an error message is displayed: ?Fill up the form correctly.? This requires the Internet to fill up the reservation form correctly. The Internet user or prepaid card holder will only know if the reservation is taken or cancelled once he claims the ticket in the counter. With the authenticated form that appears on the screen after he has clicked the SUBMIT button, the Internet user is given a confirmation number which will be used in claiming the ticket from the cinema teller. The teller uses the confirmation number to check into the logged-in customer to validate the reservation. After the teller has validated the reservation, the user will be given a cinema ticket. The information in the ticket includes the cinema number, seat number being reserved, the type of accommodation reserved, type of payment, the time and type of customer- Internet user or walk-in.
