Summary: Code Hopping in Car Security System is proposed in order to present a possible means of minimizing the hacking codes or signals. It aims to increase security of properties and encourage for possible innovation towards a more secure security system. In this project, a built-in design of a car security system was made to demonstrate the application of code hopping. The said design performs the lock unlock operation of the car according to the codes being transmitted. Unlike the existing car security systems that transmit the same code to unlock and lock the car, it has an algorithm that encrypts the pseudorandom code to avoid hacking of codes, and will be decrypted at the receiver side to perform the corresponding operation. The encryption algorithm provides an equivalent cipher texts to the pseudorandom codes for secured transmission. The cipher text?s pattern is far from the pseudorandom code?s pattern and it sometimes provides the same cipher text for two different pseudorandom codes that makes it not easy to crack. Aside from that the correlation coefficient of the pseudorandom codes and the encrypted codes using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient or simply Pearson is zero. Thus, considered as good encryption algorithm.
