With regard to individuals it is the critical element for skilful decisions in professional and private life that ensure sustainable personal well-being and happiness. It is a fundamental premise of this book that such awareness can be increased and that MBSAT training is a powerful means of doing so. The approach to mindfulness training taken in the book is rooted in the secular application of ancient meditative traditions as well as in contemporary psychological research with an emphasis on the new science of positive psychology, behavioural finance and computational neuroscience. While drawing on these disciplines the workbook is firmly based on scientific research and on the author's practical experience of managing organizations and teaching mindfulness, strategic management, positive psychology and corporate finance at the top level in organisations and at leading universities and business schools. Drawing on the latest research findings from computational neuroscience, the book explores how cognitive flexibility and the capacity to adapt to new challenges can be significantly enhanced through mindfulness training. By helping individual and leaders to better manage themselves and others, mindfulness training can have an impact at all three levels of management development: individual, team and organisation and society as well"-- Provided by publisher.| Item type | Current location | Home library | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | Item holds |
