FRP provides functional abstractions for values changing over time, with which reactive behaviors can be naturally described. Since each computational node in a coordinating distributed system can be seen as a reactive component, FRP is well suited for describing the intra-node computation. Via a case study of a wireless sensor-actor network (WSAN), this paper shows that both inter-node coordination and intra-node computation can be uniformly described using the language.
