About the Author
Bert Snijder is professor of Structural Design and Steel Structures at Eindhoven University of Technology. As a member of the Dutch standard committee (NEN) on Steel Structures he is closely involved in the development of Eurocode 3. Since 2001 he is a member of CEN TC250 SC3, the European committee responsible for the development of Eurocode 3.
Henri Steenbergen is a senior researcher at the Dutch organisation for applied scientific research TNO, specialised in structural safety as well as the behaviour and analysis of steel structures. He has profound knowledge in advanced calculation techniques and the backgrounds of steel standards.
