Summary: "Resilience By Design is the world's most detailed, evidence backed how-to manual that bridges the gap between neuroscience theory and practical techniques that can be used every day. It presents step-by-step explanations with real life stories from people on the front lines who are regarded as the resilient elite. Resilience By Design will enable you to say goodbye to unwanted stress for good, replacing it with clarity, resilience, improved performance and wellbeing. Resilience By Design challenges the notion that stress is out there in our environment. As such, it carries the opportunity to both provoke, inspire, and save the lives of millions of people who have lost the ability to choose their own health and wellbeing. The book proves we can all design resourceful states that enable resilience in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. Over 12 chapters of neuroscience backed, practitioner-lead theory, and practical steps, Resilience By Design is the ultimate manual for understanding how we each create our own reactions to life's many pressures and how those reactions can be transformed into life changing choices. This book is a paradigm shift for both members of the public as well as frontline agencies and professionals who typically believe they have no choice in how they respond to the pressures and challenges of their workplace"-- Provided by publisher.
