Shifu Loretta Wollering is a recognized expert and master-level tai chi instructor. She specializes in teaching tai chi from its traditional principles, and heads the traditional lineage of the late tai chi grandmaster Jou Tsung Hwa.

Wollering has more than 20 years of experience teaching and using tai chi chuan for health and inner peace, and she has the rare experience of using traditional tai chi's martial arts applications as well.

She makes regular media appearances, publishes works in trade magazines, and produces video. She has won numerous awards and honors and is a 2008 recipient of a leadership award from the President's council on Physical Fitness and Sports (Washington, D.C.).
