Description: 57 leaves : 29 cmContent type: text Media type: unmediated Carrier type: volumeSubject(s): Computer animation | Three-dimensional display systemsDissertation note: Thesis (Master in Computer Science) -- CIT-U, March 2012. Summary: A 3D modeling of human face holds more information of the face than 2D modeling for face recognition or subject discrimination. This paper presents a method for an automatic 3D wireframe generation of a human face on still image acquisitions. The underlying wireframe generation process starts with the use of Haar-like feature method in detecting faces utilizing facial features points to include eyes, nose and mouth. Delaunnay Triangulation and Voronoi Tessesllation are then engaged to build the wireframe on the faces. Experiments were conducted on pictures taken indoor and outdoor to validate effects on illumination problems. Result of the experiment shows a generation rate of 98% on indoor pictures and a generation rate of 85% for outdoor pictures.
