Student leader's intelligence, emotional quotients and leadership effectiveness

The study looked into the following (1) the profile of student leaders in terms of age, gender and year level, (2) the Intelligence Quotient of Student Leaders, (3) The Emotional Quotient of Student Leaders, (4) The level of Leadership Effectiveness of the Student Leaders, (5) The most and least developed categories of Leadership Effectiveness, (6) The correlation between IQ and Leadership Effectiveness as well as EQ and Leadership Effectiveness, (7) The correlation of IQ, EQ and Leadership Effectiveness and (8) The possible enhancement program that can be designed. In the data gathering phase, the researchers used questionnaires as tools to measures the EQ and Leadership Effectiveness of the student leaders and the IQ results were based from the Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT) which was taken by the student leaders in their previous years. Books, unpublished journals and online references were also utilized for additional information to support the study. Statistically, the results have shown that both Intelligence and Emotional Quotients have a strong positive correlation with Leadership Effectiveness.
