A proposed two storey houses with actual implementation and with applied green engineering principles in barangay luz, cebu city

Nowadays engineers, designers and homeowners must consider the importance of green engineering structures. The environment benefits of applying green engineering include the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity, improved air quality, and the conservation of natural resources. This study shows the implications of adding green engineering principles to a proposed two storey house in Barangay Luz, Cebu City. This contains the architectural plans, structural design and cost estimation of a proposed two storey house.
The researchers design a proposed two storey house with applied greenengineering principles based on the survey result of the lot of Mrs. Vilma Antiligando, a widow who has nine children. This study aims to provide the family a comfortable venue of living.
Based on the architectural plans, the estimated cost of 8.75 square meters two storey house with applied green engineering is about Php 277,580.94. The proposed two storey house was little too expensive to implement so there were some changes in the architectural plans to lessen the proposed budget or the total cost. The two storey house implemented cost Php 183,067.95.
