Comparative study of low cost housing

Publisher: Cebu City ; CIT-U ; 2015DDC classification: T B7809 2015 Summary: The purpose of this study is to overview the development of low cost housing in Mandaue City and Cebu City and also to evaluate the quality, standard and the differences of each low cost housing that the developer has produced, the researcher aimed to assess the vision for the future of the housing sector in the said areas based on choice, fairness, and equity across tenure and on delivering quality outcomes for the resources invested. Furthermore, the method used in this study was descriptive evaluation. The design, cost and methodology of the three low cost housing subdivisions is the primary data in this study. On the other hand the document from OBO was used for secondary data. The primary data were used for comparing the differences of the low cost housing, while the secondary data were used as a support from the data gathered. As what the result of the study showed, the researchers conclude that the three subdivisions really had a differences but it comes out that out of the three subdivisions there are two subdivisions who have using the same construction methodology. There are subdivisions also that had substandard measurements in there design and also the quality of the materials. Moreover, the researchers made this observation like using good quality materials yet affordable, an appropriate and comfortable design for the investors to leave.
