| Summary, etc |
"The primary focus of using optimization techniques is to measure the maximum or minimum value of a function depending on the circumstances. Any engineering discipline involving design, maintenance and manufacturing requires certain technical decisions to be taken at different stages. The primary outcome of taking these decisions is to maximize the profit with minimum utilization of resources. Optimization and data science problems are typically computationally intensive and nowadays many students have access to multiple CPU cores on their local computers or they access cloud computing services. MATLAB is a programming and numeric computing platform to analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models. It is a software highly used among engineers and scientists for scientific computation and offers many built-in tools to solve optimization problems easily."-- |
