500 ## - GENERAL NOTE
General note Accompanying DVD contains examples of digital films and computer generated animation, by Michael Noll, Vic Ćosić, Manfred Mohr, Gerhard Mantz, Gazira Babeli, LAb[au], CEB Reas, Elco Brand, Holger Lippmann, Mark Napier, Marius Watz and realities:united.

For the last twenty years, Wolf Lieser has dedicated himself to digital art. His concept of conveying this subject via an online museum, an art award, and an internationally operating art gallery has gained approval all over the world.
Wolf Lieser (b. 1957 in Raumbach)had been working as an art consultant for some years when his search for a trendsetting and innovative art form brought him in contact with digital art. Since then he has devoted himself idealistically and enthusiastically to the topic, which-even in the 1990s-was still met with rejection and a lack of understanding.
Parallel to the gallery in Wiesbaden (1994-2002), he also ran the world's first gallery for digital art in London (1999-2000). In 1998, he founded the Digital Art Museum (DAM), which encompasses an online museum (www.dam.org), an award for an artist's body of work (d.velop digital art award [ddaa]), and a gallery.
Since 2003, Wolf Lieser operates the gallery [DAM] Berlin in Berlin-Mitte, and in 2010 he will open another gallery in Cologne, the [DAM]Cologne. n He gives presentations internationally and has published various publications on digital media.
