Summary, etc Part of the Computer Studies Curriculum is the Operating System which implies most of the computer topics. One of the topics that this subject had is the CPU SCHEDULER that shows how the process of the computer works. During the discussion of this topic, most of the instructors taught this topic manually, and they deliver it hard to visualize the process towards to the students.
So, the proponents came up with an idea of making this project for tools of the instructor who are handling Operating System make easier. The objective of the project is to visualize the CPU process.
The major functionalities of the project are to animate the view of processes, it can interrupt the process either the user want to cancel or to pause the process state of the CPU. It can also resume, save the process state, and the user can also choose what type of process is to be simulated (e.g FCFS, SJR, RR and SRTF), and also it can control the speed of the process that is running either to speed it up or down. The user can also run two or more processes or all of the processes at the same time.
The process will be done by letting the user first input the ?Arrival Time? (AT) and the ?Burst Time? (BT), and in the Round Robin state, the user must include the quantum. After the input is the execution of thr process depending what is selected until it is done.
So by running this program, the topic is well delivered to the students. Therefore, this will be a great help for the subject instructors. And by doing this, it is recommended for the instructors to use projectors.
