Summary, etc The title of the study is ?Prototype Design of Biogas Digester Fuel System using Food Wastes as Feedstock?. In this study, the researchers were to evaluate if food waste can produce enough biogas fuel to be used in household cooking and how much savings does this biogas digester made compared to LPG and charcoal.
The objective of this study is to extract methane gas from food waste, and in this project the researchers used cow manure mixed with water as a catalyst. Trials had been taken to get the average duration of the flame burning. The results were remarkable for a 200L digester. From the data gathered, see table 4.4, the 200L digester showed that it is capable of producing methane gas for a household use.
The researchers would like to recommend a further study on the design of biogas digester using food waste as feedback. This prototype design serves as stepping stone for a feasible development of a new technology for producing energy and helps lessen the amount of food waste to be thrown away but useful through various ways.
