Summary, etc This research effort is an ?Investigative Analysis of the Damage on the Concrete Pavement at Ayala Heights Road, Brgy. Malubog, Cebu City: A Basis for Recommendation.? The difficulties faced in this road are potholes and longitudinal cracked of concrete pavement caused by the movement of the soil. In order to achieve the philosophy of work, the following data has been sourced from direct fieldwork and soil laboratory testing.<br/> The study aimed to provide the answers of the following problems: 1.) the causes of the damage of concrete pavement; 2.) the effect of the damage of concrete pavement; 3.) the necessary action to be done to solve the problem.<br/> Data and information gathered from Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Ayala Heights authorities, the residents of the area and the soil sample bored in different area in Ayala Heights served as guide in doing this study effectively. However the common problems encountered by the residents, drivers, passengers and the street users were identified.<br/> The results of the findings include: 1.) the water content of the soil is greater than its shrinkage where the volume of the soil may change that will be resulted to bumps in roads and crack in structure; 2.) slowing of traffic, damage to properties, accidents and inconvenience to commuters are the effects of concrete damage; 3.) to solve these problems necessary actions were recommended such as rubberized asphalt and polymer modified binders (PMD); geosynthesis; and load restrictions.
