Summary, etc Bottles crowns are one of the contributors of metal wastes that are not of beneficial use to many and are just taken with little account in recycling. Day by day the consumption of soda drinks and and other carbonated drinks in a bottle increases and so with the waste of bottle crowns.

The proponent chose to the study entitled " A study on the compressive strength of a non-load bearing concrete hollow blocks with bottle crown as Additive", for the reason that the bottle crowns may probably give significant increase to the when used as an additive, moreover to reduce the environmental problem in the disposal of these metal waste that may be useful in the construction industry.

This research aims to compare the compressive strength of concrete hollow block without bottle crown additive and concrete hollow block with bottle crown additive. Three design percentage were used in the specimens of concrete hollow block in this study.

The researchers used experimental type of research. All samples were tested in the Megatesting Center Inc. using the Universal Testing Machine in obtaining the compressive strength of the concrete hollow block.

Hence, basing on the results gathered there was an increased in the compressive strength of the hollow block with bottle crown as additive as compared with the hollow block without crown additive. There is a significant increase of 27.32% of the compressive strength of concrete hollow block with 0.15% bottle crown additive.

The researchers commend for further study on different percentages aside from the used percentage in this research. Also the researchers would recommend considering using bottle crown without its rubber for more credible results.
