Summary, etc The paper presented information about the dynamics of the relationship between a drug-addicted and her child. This is aimed to come up with a therapeutic program suitable to their needs. Specially, the study intended to determine mother to her child in terms of emotional ad behavioral aspects was also identified. Individual in-depth interview were undertaken to three (3) pairs of mother and child which are all residents of Pasil, Cebu City. These interviews were transcribed verbatim and processed using a descriptive thematic analysis technique. The first few data served as the bases for identification of central themes which were labeled with codes, taking into account what was said, how it was said, for classification purpose and for coding. The codes using a flat coding scheme. Prevalence of codes was counted across the entire data set. Categories were taken merged in order to create broad themes that ware applicable and relevant to the study. Then the relationships between the themes that merged were established. The result shows that drug-addicted mothers and their children have close attachment regardless of the mother's drug addiction. However, a pair of respondents mother and children reveals an anxious attachment, this attachment is a result of the abandonment the mother had done. It has emerged that male respondents has close attachment to their mothers and the female respondents has close attachment to his father. By that, it can be conclude that a male child has a greater tendency to prefer the present in the opposite sex, the same with a female child, there is a high child includes the frequent use of defense mechanisms as a way of coping up with their anxieties. Behavioral influences on the other hand include imitation of the mothers' vices, the mothers' lack of credibility and leniency in terms of disciplining their children.
