Bubble popping game: touchless controlled - Cebu City CIT-U 2013
Computer and video games can never be taken out from the list as past time or stress reliever for many, especially to children. Most of it is controlled by mouse or keyboard or any other game controllers. Nowadays, due to the existence of tablets or touch screen gadgets, games are controlled by touching the screens. In this paper, it proposes a game controlled by fingertip without even touching the screen or pressing any game controllers.
The computer used or the laptop used for the game should have a camera. The camera is used to capture an image. The fingertip the detection is done by detecting the skin region of the hand through Ycbcr color space given the specific range of Ycbcr range for skin. The extraction of its hand contour out from the skin region would then follow. The farthest point from the base of the hall is then solved through angle detection algorithm. It is now considered as the fingertip. Once the fingertip is detected, it is now used as the controller of the game.
Since an image is captured from the camera, skin color from the image being captured may be affected due to the availability of light. This would cause an inconsistent detection of the fingertip. This may be enhanced by a fingertip detection approach or skin color detection where it can?t be affected by illumination. Take for instance skin detection using fuzzy logic. The game will also be improved by enhancing its user interface and its game rules.
